Cutting steroid cycles, like Dianabol and Winstrol V, are used to burn excess body fat and improve the vascularity of muscles. Good-looking elastic muscle is often the result of a professionally planned cutting cycle — that plus quality training, a strict diet and the use of reliable steroids (or steroid alternatives) from trusted manufacturers. Here’s our guide to cutting steroid cycles and how to plan them.

Cutting Steroids

There are a variety of different options when it comes to steroids. But they all come down to what you want to achieve. If you’re looking to burn fat and build lean muscle, then you’ll want to try some of the following:

If you have a dilemma about what option to go for, testosterone is one of the best steroids to take. In fact, it’s the one steroid you should include as part of any stack. Testosterone has a high anabolic nature which makes it great for bulking phases and building strength. However, it’s also very flexible and will help in cutting cycles too.

How Does Testosterone Work?

  • Testosterone blocks the stress hormone cortisol which ensures body fat doesn’t build up.
  • Boosts red blood cell production which improves oxygen intake and means your endurance levels will go through the roof.
  • Your muscle growth will be in another league due to the elevated rate of protein synthesis. This also prevents catabolism, reducing recovery times.
  • Try Test Suspension, a legal anabolic-steroid alternative, today!

Dianabol, or D-Bol, is an oral steroid which is made for those who don’t like to be kept waiting. It is definitely one of the best anabolic steroids available for increasing muscle mass and raw strength. The best part though is what gains you get are built at a rapid speed as well.

How Does D-Bol Work?

  • Dianabol promotes glycogenolysis which makes your carb intake more effective. Your raw energy input basically becomes more concentrated, which is crucial for power.
  • Very efficient at increasing nitrogen retention in the muscles which are fundamental for all important size and strength gains.
  • Protein synthesis paves the way for muscle growth, by enhancing the speed it builds mass as well as preserving it too.
  • Try D-Bol, a legal anabolic-steroid alternative, today!

Winstrol, also known as Winstrol V, is unique in that the makeup of both the oral and injection versions are identical. Winstrol is one of the other best steroids there is for cutting. It’s also good for aiding fat loss and boosting overall endurance – even when dropping down the calories.

How Does Winstrol Work?

  • Winstrol has the power to lower SHBG (sex hormone binding globulin) levels which ultimately gives you a bonus boost of testosterone.
  • It’s another steroid particularly good for boosting red blood cells which gives your muscles more oxygen. This is why one reason it’s used to ramp up performance.
  • Although Winstrol doesn’t burn fat directly, it’s a good precursor. It has the power to inhibit stress hormones which are notorious for holding onto headstrong fat cells.
  • Try Winni-V, a legal anabolic-steroid alternative, today!

Prohormones are a legal alternative to steroids that you can take orally. There are several different types of prohormones — from Winstrol V to Dianabol to Anadrol — all of which are made to help you get bigger and stronger. But for some things, certain prohormones are better than others. You may, for example, want to get stronger and put on lean muscle, for that go with Winstrol V. To bulk up and make huge strength gains you should go with Dianabol. And to burn fat (along with putting on some lean muscle) you should go with Anadrol. It all depends on what you’re looking for. But, regardless of which prohormone you go with, you probably want to know “what should I expect from my first prohormone cycle?”

How Quickly Do Prohormones Work?

Prohormones are all oral compounds rapidly absorbed by the body and with most, they will be processed by the body in a single day. For the user of prohormones, this means that they will experience gains from day one, at least as measured by increased blood levels of androgens. This is in contrast to traditional anabolic steroids which typically take much longer to begin working. Although it may take time for muscle gains to be visible in the mirror, it is not unheard of for prohormone users to gain up to 7-10 pounds in the first two weeks of their cycle. This leads to the situation that over a short period of time the use of prohormones could lead to greater muscle gains than those that can be achieved by long-acting anabolic steroids in the same period of time.

How Long Should I Take Prohormones?

Prohormones are some seriously intense compounds. Many have been banned because, well, they’re just too powerful for users who tend to use them for too long. Prohormone cycles should last only between 6-8 weeks at most, no longer. Many prohormone cycles can effectively be run for just four weeks. Either way, after you run a cycle of prohormones, you need to run a post-cycle. Ideally, you will also want to have a doctor check your blood levels to ensure your liver enzymes don’t jump in too significant of a manner during this stretch as well.

If an individual has never previously taken prohormones then they should expect significant muscle and strength gains from their first cycle, especially if they are a young person with much scope for muscle growth. As such, dosages and cycle lengths should be kept short as even a “mild” cycle will produce significant benefits for the user, and by keeping the length short we can certainly keep side effects to a minimum whilst still experiencing tremendous benefits

Why You Should Keep Prohormones Cycles Short

One thing which is sometimes overlooked by users in the quest for maximum muscle and strength size is that there is a definite saturation point that is reached where further time on cycles or increases in dosages does not produce a commensurate improvement in muscle and strength gains. Indeed, it is commonly noted that as time spent on prohormones increases, gains come slower, while side effects increase more quickly. Increasing time on/increasing dose by 50-percent may produce a linear improvement at low doses but as time spent on increases gains tend to level off. This makes it a better idea to keep cycles short and then, after post cycle therapy is finished, to start again. That is far better than staying on for much longer with the last half of the cycle producing meager gains and side effects outweighing gains.

If you’re considering taking steroids or prohormones, odds are you are either trying to get stronger or want to gain some more muscle. But, unfortunately for many steroid users, weight gain comes along with that. Some people say this is inevitable, others believe that yes, it’s possible to achieve the mythical trifecta of getting stronger, gaining muscle, and losing fat if you have the proper diet. Regardless of which camp you’re in, we steroid/prohormone users can all use some more information on how we should and shouldn’t be dieting. Here’s our guide to what you should be eating while taking steroids or prohormones.

Eating Right While Cycling

“You are what you eat” is an age-old saying that is just as true for steroid and prohormone users as it is for everyone else. Many steroid/prohormone users neglect the importance of dieting while cycling. Steroids and prohormones are, in large part, what you make them. And, depending on your diet, you can end up having either strong, solid gains or flabby, short-lived ones. Either you are running a cycle for bulking or for cutting. And that’s the first question you need to ask yourself. The answer will have a significant impact on what foods (and quantities of those foods) you should and shouldn’t be eating.

If you’re taking steroids with the primary aim of gaining muscle mass (i.e. “bulking”), you have to keep an eye on your body fat. Because, unless you’re careful, the additional calories you’re consuming will come with unwanted, additional fat. You need to strictly calculate your daily calorie needs and keep fat percentage under control. Be aware the more carbs and fats you eat, the more fat you will gain. You need to eat more if you’re looking to bulk up while taking steroids/prohormones, but you want to make sure you’re are going about it the right way.

Proteins are by far the most important nutrients when it comes to growing and building your muscles. But not all proteins are created equal. You should be getting your protein from lean meats, fish, eggs, and milk products. You have to use one of these sources on each meal throughout the whole day. We suggest eating about 1.5 grams of protein for every pound you weigh. So, for example, if you weigh 200lbs then you should be eating at least 300 grams of protein per day.

In total, you should consume about 4,500 calories per day during a bulking cycle. And those calories should be broken up as follows: 30% protein, 50% carbs, and 20% fats.

If you want to get shredded you will have to burn fat. And this means that you will have to decrease your daily caloric intake and increase the amount of protein you’re eating. If you’re trying to burn fat, you shouldn’t be consuming many carbs. If, however, you do consume carbs, you should do so in the morning when your body triggers the catabolic process, before the workout for getting energy, and after it to replenish glycogen level. Unsaturated fats from fish, nuts, etc. also play a very important role in helping you get shredded.  If you’re looking to burn fat or add only lean muscle mass, the total number of calories you should be consuming is far less than what you should be eating if you’re bulking. We suggest aiming for about 2,000-2,500 calories per day and the food breakdown should be more protein-focused: 50% protein, 25% carbs, and 25% fats.

Some people seem to think that you can just sit on the couch, take steroids, and voilà look like Arnold Schwarzenegger. But it doesn’t work that way. Your cycles are what you make them and there are things you can do to make them either more or less effective. Here’s our guide to getting more out of your steroids: why you should lose weight first.

When To Take Steroids

If you’re wondering if you should you lose weight first, before starting a steroid or prohormone cycle, the answer is yes. There are some steroids that can help you lose weight, but the vast majority will make you heavier.

The idea when taking steroids or prohormones is that the majority of the weight you gain is muscle mass. But, it’s inevitable that some of it will be fat. Why? Because you are and should be consuming a good deal more calories per day while you’re taking steroids than when you’re not. With additional calories comes additional weight, and with additional weight comes some additional fat.

The majority of bodybuilders don’t particularly worry about this while they’re cycling because they understand that it’s important to determine pre-cycle what they are going for: bulking or cutting. If you are taking steroids to bulk up and build muscle, then you shouldn’t worry about gaining a little fat. You can always lose the fat once you’ve finished bulking up and, hopefully, keep the extra muscle as well. But this is true only for people who start with low body fat, around 19% or less. If, on the other hand, you are overweight with a body-fat percentage of 25% or higher, then you should wait to start your cycle until after you’ve shed some fat. A fat guy on steroids will look like a fat guy on steroids. He’ll be stronger, yes. But, to the naked eye, there won’t be much of a difference in his appearance.

How To Burn Body Fat

You should focus on your body mass index (BMI), which is a measure of body fat in adults, not your weight on the scale. You definitely want to have a BMI of less than 25% and, ideally, if you’re really trying to look good, 15% or less. Okay, so how do you burn fat?

Get More Sleep

You can’t overstate the value of sleep. In one of the medicines all-time largest and most comprehensive studies, the University Of Oxford studied the sleeping patterns of over half-a-million Brits to determine what was the minimum amount of sleep people need. The answer was between 7-8 hours. But you need at least 7. Some will say “yes, well that may be true for the average person. But not for me! I’m a superhuman!” Don’t worry, the study controlled for self-proclaimed superhumans who believed they didn’t need a full 7 hours worth of sleep. Want to guess the percentage of people who were able to survive on less than 7 hours of sleep without any negative physical side-effects? Zero. 0% of people can survive on less than 7 hours of sleep without any negative physical side-effects. So listen to your mother, and don’t be naive. Get to bed!

Eat More Protein

You should limit the number of carbs you’re eating per day and get the majority of your calories from protein. Percentage wise you should try and consumer about 50% of your calories from protein, 25% from fats, and 25% or less from carbs.

Drink Cold Water

We all know it’s good to drink water. But, for fat burning, it’s specifically good to drink cold water. Why? Because your body needs to burn extra calories to digest it which, if you’re trying to lose weight, is a good thing.

Anabolic steroids are so deeply ingrained in pop culture and sports that you might assume there’s nothing left to know about these miracles of modern medicine. But you’d be wrong. There’s more to these drugs than meets the eye. So, if you’re a bodybuilder, put down that dumbbell for a minute and read this article to learn about the history of anabolic steroids. You might just learn something interesting.

The Beginning Of The Beginning

Although anabolic steroids in their modern form did not come onto the scene until the mid-20th century, the use of pure testosterone can be traced back to antiquity. In Greece, early Olympic athletes were known to ingest animal testicles before a competition. And they would sometimes do this for extended periods before their event was set to take place. It is doubtful our forefathers understood what they were doing but they were on the right track.

The 19th Century Breakthrough

Arnold Adolph Berthold, the founding father of endocrinology, first removed the testes of a Cockerel in 1849. After doing so, Berthold observed that the animal began losing all of its defining male characteristics. This led to a more apt understanding of the importance of the male testicles and how they carry with them the necessitating factors that make a man a man.

Modern Anabolic Steroids And The Age Of Anabolics

The history, however, of what we think of as anabolic steroids today began with a German chemist named Adolf Butenandt in 1931. By this point it was understood (thanks largely to Berthold) the importance and effects of male hormones. But it was the work of Butenandt that first led to finding a way to pinpoint and purify the hormone androstenone. Butenandt achieved this scientific feat via extracting the hormone from a mere few liters of urine.

Next, in the late 1930s, came another chemist named Leopold Ruzicka, also German. Ruzicka developed a means to synthesize the hormone making it safe for human use. From there, inevitably, the first batch of synthetic testosterone was produced. This, most would agree, was the true dawning of the anabolic age.

Thanks to a combination of Ziegler’s breakthrough work and the successful testimonials of the Soviet athletes, Olympic lifters in the United States would soon began using both testosterone and Dianabol as part of their regular routine. By 1967, anabolic steroid use was widespread among Olympic athletes. This, eventually, lead to the drug’s fall from grace in the minds of the American public.

Today, however, many of the reactionary opinions to steroids are beginning to settle into more rational opinions. While yes, most people agree that anabolic steroids should be banned in sports, many are also starting to recognize their incredible muscle building benefits. Just because professional athletes can’t and shouldn’t use anabolic steroids doesn’t mean nobody else can use them either. In spite of this, many anabolic steroids remain illegal in the U.S., which is why many have started to turn to legal anabolic steroid substitutes/alternatives.
